The weather home app uninstall4/26/2023 ![]() I was expecting that it since the app was uninstalled that the app would disappear? but these apps are put there by group policy so I wonder if this the reason it still showing on start menu. Maybe the tile is broken because it was uninstalled (for some unknown reason) and is looking for the app that’s not there? Therefore it is just showing the package name. Other users have this app but who haven’t performed the in house migration. So the app is not showing on the start menu or under search/apps. It looks like the Weather app is broken with its tile looking like that on the Start menu. Attempt to uninstall to make sure it’s uninstalled? Or just reinstall? It just a reinstall what powershell can be used since cannot access store to download. But this was all installed at the last windows major update version 1909.Ģ. If the app is installed or not? I did come across that weather app is saved under the appdata/local/packages folder. I have asked the IT department to investigate but would like your thoughts on the matter.ġ. In Microsoft store because it is a work account I can’t find any apps apart from the ones they put on as a company. Why would the app show the above message when hoovered over the icon? Does that mean it is uninstalled? and also given it’s not under apps or search bar either. No further updates were performed but the pc did crash couple days ago and this is when I noticed it but seems odd that this would cause the weather app to be uninstalled. Going to see if this issue occurs to hem when they perform migration as well. I spoke to other colleagues who haven’t performed the migration and their weather app works fine. Other apps from the Microsoft store and store itself were last updated on the day I performed the migration. When I search or go to apps under settings, it appears the weather app is not there anymore. This appears to have happened since my company done a migration last week and only last week and the issue may have been therefore since migration but didn’t notice.
